Hello! I’m really excited that you’re interested in having me as a speaker at your school, conference, or obligatory other!
I’d love to visit with you! Currently, fellow author and DEAR TEEN ME contributor Stephanie Pellegrin and I are doing joint school visits where we can present on a variety of other topics including a writing presentation for teens and a presentation focusing on the tough issues in DEAR TEEN ME. We can also tailor our presentations to your needs. Please contact us if you are interested in having us, and we can discuss rates.
Here are some of the presentation topics you might consider:

Q: Do you do Skype visits?
A: Yes! Please contact me about possible topics and fees. I will do also do free Skype-visits and call-ins if your book club or classroom reads DEAR TEEN ME and wants to discuss the book.
Q: My school doesn’t have a budget for author visits, can you visit for free?
A: Unfortunately at this time I’m usually not able to do school visits for free. However, I am willing to help you come up with fundraising ideas, such as using resources like your local PTA (PTAs are awesome! I’m the daughter of a former state president!) and crowdfunding sites like indiegogo.com, and donorschoose.org.
Q: Will you bring books to sell?
A: If visiting a school in the Austin area (including Round Rock & Pflugerville), I am usually able to come with booksellers from The Book Spot to sell books. I can also provide order forms for you to send home with students. Outside of this area, we can put our heads together and arrange something. I always love selling and signing books!
Q: What age groups are your school visits appropriate for?
A: This depends on what topics you’d like me to cover. I can tailor my talks to eighth graders and up, with the possibility for seventh graders depending on the group. I also enjoy visiting with college students.
